| "A BRIDGE TOO FAR?" |
| A flurry of plans to enact huge tariffs on nations around the world by President Trump this past week caused stock markets globally to take a huge dive. He later put a 90-day pause on the tariffs except for China, which he put a whopping 145% tariff on. I get the concept of encouraging American-made products, but it should be kept in mind that it would take 15-20 years to establish an industrial base that could become independent, and for some products and parts, we will always need to partner with other countries. International cooperation without exploitation should be the goal. |
