Recently former President and 2024 frontrunner Donald Trump suggested that the U.S. would not defend NATO countries that didn't fulfill their 2% contribution to the organization. Russia has clearly infiltrated the Republican party via Trump, halting financial support to Ukraine and pushing an isolationism reminiscent of the 1930's. It's amazing how many Americans no longer recognize who the good guys and who the bad guys are on the world stage, making the U.S. an unreliable ally to NATO nations.
