One of my favorite Christmas songs is "I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day," because it inspires listeners to pause and reflect on human nature and the state of the world. Are we really making the world a better place or in the grand scheme of things, are we making it worse? Those are the kinds of things people should think about at Christmas - and all year 'round.
