Representatives Justin Jones and Justin Pearson were expelled from the Tennessee legislature for nonviolent protests calling for gun reforms in the wake of yet another school shooting. Meanwhile, the Republican supermajority's solution is to add more guns to the mix by arming teachers. I would instead recommend more security officers, metal detectors, etc. Suppose a teacher's having a bad day or students steal their weapon? Common sense says that would be a recipe for disaster.
