Artificial intelligence is creating artwork and sophisticated writing that many fear could supplant humans. Unless humanity takes an interest in its own welfare, it's easy to see how a.i. could spiral out of control, creating a Pandora's Box of unnecessary problems. A classic example is of an a.i. assigned to achieving world peace concluding that the only way to achieve it is to annihilate the human race - not out of malice, but purely out of its programmed function. Not to mention, a.i. being used by bad actors like Russia, China, North Korea or terrorist organizations. All of that being said, the next few decades may just degenerate into a sci-fi movie playing out in real life.
