It was leaked that the Supreme Court is considering overturning Roe vs. Wade, which would turn abortion back over to the states. While I would not encourage women to have an abortion and lament that people view it as some kind of birth control, at what point is it actually appropriate for the law to get involved, and would many women be re-victimized in the process? Pro-lifers should be focusing more on increasing federal funding of adoption programs, improving the foster care system, and seeking legislation to support struggling expectant mothers with tax money. That is the best way to reduce the number of abortions, since even if it were outlawed women would still seek ways to do it.
