American forces have been withdrawing from Afghanistan after having been stationed there since 2001. This is despite there being a record number of civilian casualties and revenge killings as the Taliban has retaken territory across the nation. There is obviously a correlation between U.S. and international forces leaving Afghanistan and the increase in violence. Apparently our government hasn't done the math or accepted the hard truth that they will probably always need a baby-sitter.
