Congresswoman Liz Cheney's criticism of former President Trump has raised the ire of her fellow Republicans, who tend to be blind to his many vices and sordid history, particularly to his incitement of the Jan. 6th insurrection attempt. One has to wonder why politicians like Cheney and Mitt Romney want to represent people who clearly don't respect democracy or civilized behavior in their leaders. Republicans with a conscience really ought to split off and just start their own party.
