Indiana teachers are raising concerns over the ILEARN standardized tests. It seems the results for students are much lower than they were under ISTEP across the board. State Education Superintendent Jennifer McCormick and Governor Holcomb have requested that the 2019 scores should not result in schools and teachers being "punished," as it were, with lower pay and lower school grades. I can't speculate what is going on other than that the students weren't being taught the material that was featured in the test. Perhaps the kids should be graded on a curve...
