In an extremely random turn of events, President Trump raised interest in the United States purchasing Greenland. The general reaction of those in the Danish territory was that of the rest of the world: "Huh?" Trump believes it would be of strategic importance to the U.S., though it probably has more to do with wanting to exploit its natural resources. This was, after all, the same week he sought to weaken the Endangered Species Act. Even though buying Greenland could be a good idea, most folks know by now not to trust this president's motives.
