"PRECISION"

10/15/18 The News-Dispatch & The Herald-Argus

Purdue University recently backtracked on plans to change its diplomas for graduates at the Westville and Hammond campuses to "Purdue University Northwest," which many perceived as a way to shortchange students who did not graduate from the main campus of the prestige of a strictly "Purdue" diploma. It's unknown what the true motive was to change the name to start with, but it didn't go over well with area students. Thankfully, Purdue listened to them and abandoned the idea.
