"WONKY GPS?"

5/2/18 The News-Dispatch & 5/4/18 The Herald-Argus

The nations of North Korea and South Korea have unexpectedly agreed to end the Korean War, which has been technically been going on since the 1950's.  North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has also stated that he is committed to denuclearization of his country, much to the world's surprise. His nuclear ambitions have posed a serious threat to stability in the region and have caused a great deal of tension with the United States as well. So why this sudden about-face by Un? I realize some want to credit President Trump's "madman-to-madman" approach for Un's change of heart. If you really think about it, if we had a "normal" president instead of Trump, North Korea would have quietly continued advancing its program until it was too late. In a strange, Twilight-Zone-ish way, enduring Trump and his antics the past couple of years may actually in the grand scheme of things be the high price we pay for avoiding a nuclear holocaust.
