"OPIOD CRISIS"

 11/1/17 The News-Dispatch & 11/2/17 The Herald-Argus

Our state has been hit hard by the opiod epidemic, with the number of overdose deaths quadrupling since 1999. According to Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, Hoosiers are more likely to die from experiencing a drug overdose than getting into a car accident. Plans are in the works to get private and public institutions across the state to work together to, among other things, work to decrease the amount of opiod prescriptions and to make treatment more effective and accessible. Let's hope Indiana and the nation can make a breath-through in combating this epidemic of addiction and unnecessary death.
