Despite allegedly choke-slamming a reporter who pressed him on health care numbers, Montana Republican Greg Gianforte still pulled off a victory in a special election for a congressional seat. There clearly needs to be acknowledged a single set of standards of ethics and behavior both parties should abide by. One of them is not breaking the law. Partisan ends do not always justifies the means, and politicians should not hesitate to call out members of their own party on bad behavior.
