It was discovered that Vice President Mike Pence used his private AOL email account for official purposes during his time as Indiana governor, and that the account was hacked. At first glance, the discovery sounds familiar to that of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who used a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State - and as a result, was threatened with jail by the Trump campaign. Thankfully, Trump's threat to "lock her up" was an idle one. Pence is in the clear, as he did not appear to have used his account to transmit classified information, and it was in accordance with Indiana state law. After all, being governor doesn't carry with it the same sensitive national security issues Clinton regularly dealt with. Pence handled the fallout from the controversy well, even cracking a few good jokes about the un-coolness of AOL, which was certainly a better choice than taking to Twitter to start wars with random celebrities.
