Thanks to a few political missteps on the part of Indiana Governor Mike Pence in the past year, a window of opportunity has opened for a Democrat to actually have a shot at the office. Enter John Gregg, former IN state representative and Democratic speaker of the House, who had narrowly lost to Pence back in 2012. Indiana's Governor has come under fire and national scrutiny in the past year or so; first, for trying to introduce what some called a "state-run media," from which he backed off from; and then for pushing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which led to widespread concerns and confusion about whether it would lead to anti-gay discrimination.
