Are we at the start of the next Cold War? With Russian incursions into Ukraine and its anti-western propaganda war it certainly looks that way. The downing of a Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 carrying innocent civilians by pro-Russian separatists hasn't caused Putin to flinch either. No apologies coming from the Kremlin - only ramped up military involvement to annex Ukraine.
The flawed political theory of this administration was that if we were to "play nice" with Russia, relations would improve. But to a thug like Putin, this served merely as an authorization to proceed with plans of military aggression without fear of meaningful repercussions from the U.S. I'd say it's probably time to press the "Reset" button again.
