George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer accused of wrongfully shooting teenager Trayvon Martin, was acquitted of all charges by six jurors in a Sanford, Florida courtroom recently. The legal media circus unfolded for weeks, with similar elements to the O.J. Simpson trial such as race, the lingering feeling by many that he is guilty, and even a lawyer who was involved in the O.J. trial.
If Zimmerman isn't going into something similar to a witness protection program, changing his identity or whatnot, he should probably consider it in light of widespread public outrage over this polarizing case.
My take is that one person knows what happened that night: George Zimmerman - and although he could indeed be innocent, it is tragic if he walked free simply for lack of prosecutorial evidence...
