I think President Obama's recent proposals to radically cut the size of government and to enact aggressive tax breaks for corporations to "insource" jobs back to the United States are great ideas. However, I question waiting this long in a presidency plagued by recession and ballooning deficit to introduce what could be very effective measures with a good chance of bipartisan support.
