These days, the liberal majority of Democrats are having trouble getting more conservative "Blue Dog Democrats" on board with their health care proposals. Some fear "big government," others have concerns over funding abortion, while others just want to stay in office in Republican areas. At any rate, this kind of inter-party debate is certainly healthier for democracy than the GOP's party-line voting (with the exception of one vote) against the House bill. Kudos to all those politicians who can think for themselves and vote as individuals instead of letting themselves be bullied by their own parties.
