That Trump is the prospective 2024 GOP frontrunner after inciting an insurrection is inexcusable and pretty appalling. Seriously, how difficult is it for Republicans to find a presidential nominee who isn't a dangerous lunatic? I might vote for them. The Jan. 6th hearings are a reminder that Trump should at some level be held accountable. He partnered with white nationalist and domestic terrorist groups as his foot soldiers to try to overthrow a legal election and the democratic process itself by taking the attitude that it would be impossible for him to lose. In a nation where the political divide is 50/50, losing by a narrow margin is no disgrace and to be accepted as a reasonable outcome, and it's amazing that he still hasn't come to accept that.
